2 pieces, 14cm × 49cm x 18.5cm each, wood, glass, εmergency water ration.
The artwork consists of two survival water dispensers containing emergency drinking water sachets with a shelf life of twenty years. Their arrangement recalls the mechanism of a vending machine, where the removal of one item allows the next to appear. The work addresses the idea of survival, preparedness for emergency situations, and the anxiety often associated with the preservation of life. At the same time, it raises questions about the value of an artwork and the mechanisms through which value and usefulness are assigned. The piece operates on two levels: as a work of art and as a functional emergency resource that could be used in a real survival situation.
